1. How does the HobbyTwin app work?
IT IS SIMPLE, Here are the Steps to follow:
Download the Hobbytwin app from your favorite store
- SEARCH/ENTER any HOBBY or SKILL known to man:
– Any hobby or skill; Sports, Instruments, Games, Social hobbies, Languages, Technical or professional skill. - SAVE, GET INSTANT MATCHES:-
– Select your proficiency level and save to get instant & unlimited matches for that particular skill, and for every skill level. - EXPLORE:-
– Follow Matches, DM (Chats), Create teams/Groups for every skill, Schedule Lessons, Do & Track hobby lessons, Take lesson Pictures & Videos, Share and inspire your Community!

2. How can I submit a new hobby or skill for verification?
Note: You can only introduce a new skill for verification if you are logged in.
To introduce a new hobby simply type/search it, and if not found click on “click here to introduce it as a new hobby”. Upon clicking you see a “Select Category” screen. Select the category you think the new skill you are submitting belongs to and then click “Next”. On the next screen type three (3) unique tags of choice, and then also select at least 5 tag extensions that are suggested to you by the app and then click “Next”.
On the next screen you simply select your proficiency level, and then type in the description field what you like doing when exploring the activity in question, and then click on “Submit for review” and that’s it.
The skill will be added to your profile together with your description, but it won’t be searchable by other users until the admin has reviewed it and accepted it. Once the admin approves it, it automatically becomes ‘verified’ and searchable to other users via both the ‘verified search’ and ‘list search’ for saving on their profiles and you instantly get matched.
4. How many matches do I get on Hobbytwin?
You get as many matches as possible for every skill as long as they have joined the Hobbytwin network so please encourage as many friends as possible.
5. How far away are my matches?
All matches are from a 100-meter radius, which is expendable to the entire radius of the earth.
6. How do I get matches into the same hobby activities I love when I relocate to a new city or College?
It is simple, just click on your profile settings and click on “Auto-Detect my New Location” or type a location of choice and click ‘Save Changes’. The app will auto-detect your new location OR take the location you typed, and find new matches around that new location for the same activities you explored back home. It will be like you never moved!
For every skill, you can filter your matches according to Location, age group, gender, and distance from you.
7. What happens when a hobby match accepts my lesson request?
When a match accepts your lesson request, The following steps happen instantaneously:
a. Both of you are instantly added to each other’s “Twins” list; with the sender of the request as the “Apprentice”, and the recipient as the /”Mentor”.
b. You both get a notification of the lesson requests and acceptances.
c. The system opens a communication channel that allows you to Direct Message (DM) each other.
d. Both of you (Mentor and apprentice) get the ability to add each other to groups for a new hobby skill.
e. Both parties can see each other’s posts, and get to like and comment on them.
f. Once you become twins, Any party can invite the other to a lesson that is in their “Teach” skills, as long as it is on the recipient’s “Learn” skills. See screenshot below:
8. Can I share Media (pictures and videos) with my twins?
Yes, you can share pictures and even videos while doing the skills you love with your Hobbytwin network. However, every share must be related to a saved skill. The system will be requesting that you select what skill you are posting for, and it must be a skill that already exists on your profile’s skills list.
9. Does every post have to be related to a skill in my Mentor or Learn list?
Yes. Please remember that Hobbytwin is a skills-sharing and learning network hoping that it will solve the world’s free learning and free education problems; hence, every post you add has to be related to either a skill you already know/do or would like to find a match to learn to learn with. That is why even the homepage displays what skill that post is related to.
P.S.! Your twins can report your posts if they find them inappropriate, abusive, or irrelevant to the listed skill, to which Hobbytwin can either Suspend or Terminate the infringing account immediately. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use on the rights maintained by the Hobbytwin service in dealing with infringing material.
10. How do I delete my account?
To delete your data from the Hobbytwin app simply click on the following URL and follow the instructions.
11. Can I report and block inappropriate or objectionable content from other users?
Yes. We encourage users to report any content they find inappropriate or irrelevant to the hobby skill in question.
You can also report any objectionable content, and even block all news/all posts from any user who you feel violates the Terms and Conditions of the HobbyTwin service, OR block all posts/all news from a user whose content displeases you.
Once you report a post, you will no longer see it in your feed, and Hobbytwin support will also get a notification regarding that specific post and take the necessary action. HobbyTwin could either ask the user to take the post down, suspend or ban them from the service altogether.
